I bought three pairs of Street Gliderz for three (lucky) kids in my life, and the gift was very well received.  They absolutely love them!  I think the best advantage is being able to use these with your own shoes, not a one-piece combination of a shoe that doesn't fit right but is needed for the built-in skate.  This product is a great alternative!

I got these for my 5 year old.  But, it says for ages 8 and up.  But he loves using the and with the proper safety gear he didn't get hurt when falling down.  Better than wheely shoes b/c he won't grow out of them.
